Nshimiyimana JC
While visiting Ziniya Market in Kicukiro, I met Nshimiyimana JC, a porter who spends his days carrying bananas and other goods from shops to clients and from wholesalers to retailers. When I saw him walking through the busy market with heavy bananas on his shoulders, I was drawn to his focus and quiet determination.
He told me he has a wife and a four-year-old son, and that he’s been doing this work for five years. Though the job is difficult, he continues with unwavering effort, driven by the hope of sending his son to kindergarten. His story reflects the strength of many hardworking Rwandans who face challenges every day, yet never stop pushing forward for the sake of their families.
